Equipment is categorized into weapons, armor, and accessories. Limit Breaking unlocks a unit's second and third equipment slots.
*Trust Master equipment can only be equipped to units with three equipment slots.
*Equipment items can only be equipped from the Formation screen.
All equipment items have certain conditions that must be met before they can be equipped, and when viewing equipment from the Equip screen, only items that meet those conditions will be displayed.
*Weapons and armor can only be equipped to one slot each.
Generally, item effects do not stack, so you should focus on equipping items with higher values. For example, if you equip a weapon that boosts HP by 44 and armor that boosts HP by 102 at the same time, the unit's HP will only be boosted by 102. If items with both an up and a down effect are equipped, the sum of the higher values will be reflected. When a unit reaches the appropriate Equipment Proficiency level with an equipment item, the item's stats are boosted to their max levels when equipped.
Equipment items are divided into the following different types, each with unique max stats and stat boosts that come with enhancing.
*The type of each resulting item varies when crafting, and some items will only belong to certain types.
Vital: Augments HP-boosting effects
Assault: Augments ATK-boosting effects
Magic: Augments MAG-boosting effects
Aim: Augments Accuracy-boosting effects
Dodge: Augments Evasion-boosting effects
Critical: Augments Critical-boosting effects
Shield: Augments DEF-boosting effects
Barrier: Augments SPR-boosting effects
Some equipment items will also make it possible to use an Equipment Ability.
Equipment Abilities can be leveled up by enhancing them with Armor Pots.
*Armor Pots can primarily be acquired as Sunday Quest rewards.
*Equipment Abilities can only be used by certain units.
