What does enhancing/awakening Vision Cards do?

Vision cards can be enhanced with special items called Growth Eggs.
Leveling up a vision card boosts its stats.

It is also possible to awaken vision cards using Vision Spheres and vision card shards.
Awakening a vision card boosts its max level.
Awakening bonuses can strengthen cards' Bestowed Effects and Party Abilities.
