What does awakening a unit do?

Awakening Souls and Vision Spheres can be used to awaken units.
A unit must be awakened in order to increase its ★ count, raise its max level, and unlock Sub Jobs or panels on the Ability Board.

1st Awakening: raises max Unit Lv. & max Limit Burst Lv., unlocks first Sub Job
2nd Awakening: raises max Unit Lv.
3rd Awakening: raises max Unit Lv. & max Limit Burst Lv., unlocks second Sub Job
4th Awakening: raises max Unit Lv.
5th Awakening: raises max Unit Lv. & max Limit Burst Lv.

Limit Breaking and awakening five times each will unlock the unit's Trust Master equipment and its dedicated equipment slot.
*Trust Master equipment can only be equipped once a unit unlocks the third equipment slot.
