The different Abilities you can use depend on the unit's Ability Board. JP and materials can be used to unlock more panels and enhance the board.
Enhancing the board will allow you to deal more damage or increase Ability effects or boost the rate at which you can inflict Status Ailments on enemies.
"Batch Enhance" can be used to enhance selected Abilities all at once.
More unlockable Abilities will become available after meeting certain conditions, such as awakening units or raising their Job Lv.
If you have met the right conditions and have enough JP, it's possible to unlock the entire route leading up to the Ability you want.
*You can tap the Details button at any time for more information on how many times you can use the ability and the AP/TP cost.
By using an Ability Set, you can switch between the abilities available to use during battles.
By setting "Ability Set for Each Mode" to ON, Ability settings can be customized by individual modes such as Quests or Multi.
Abilities are categorized in the five following ways.
Press and hold an Ability to see its effects and set whether or not you want to use it in auto battles.
*Available Abilities may vary even if set to "Use in Auto Battles" due to the unit's Job settings or how battle plays out.
■ Main Abilities
These Abilities are fixed. Abilities designated as Main Abilities can always be used during battle.
■ Sub Abilities
These Abilities can be freely set. Abilities listed in your units' selected Jobs can be used during battle.
*Tapping and holding on a Job will allow you to view which Abilities can be used with it.
■ Support
These Abilities provide passive stat boosts or special effects. You can set up to two Support Abilities.
*Note that some effects only apply to specific Jobs or Abilities.
Example: The "Range +1" effect of the Ability "Ranger Lore" only applies to Missile-type Jobs and Abilities.
■ Reaction
These Abilities activate automatically when a unit has been attacked by an opponent.
*Reaction abilities are affected by effects like Reaction Activation Rate Down. As such, Reaction abilities activate based on a percentage chance (excluding special abilities that have a 100% activation rate).
■ Other
・Limit Bursts
These are inherent Abilities possessed by certain units.
・Master Abilities
These are unique Abilities can be obtained by clearing Character Quests.
Master Abilities differ between units, and some Abilities will also provide effects for allied units.
*Master Ability effects of the same unit do not stack.
